*Online registration is now closed. To enroll for the remaining sessions, please e-mail Erin at hello@erinreinholtz.com This small group is for teen artists to enjoy peer company while developing drawing and painting skills and meets in the studio in Alto on Tuesdays from 6-7:30pm weekly. This round is for advanced students, who will be guided through lessons on portrait drawing and learning to draw forms and objects from life, practicing observing light and shadow, measuring proportion, shading techniques, value study, and color mixing. Artists have access to a variety of provided materials, including graphite, charcoal, pastels, acrylic paint, watercolors, and water-mixable oils, as well as paintbrushes and a variety of paper and canvas. There will be time during each group to share, ask questions, and participate in critique. Students who are heavy painters are encouraged to bring their own art box with paints to class so they may become more familiar with color mixing and continue to work outside of class if desired. The class fee includes all materials and storage for works-in-progress. (A list for supplies is available upon request for students who wish to work at home and/or keep their own supplies.) Bring a water bottle and snack if you'd like, and dress in clothing that you don't mind getting dirty.
