We are in gift shopping season, my friends. It is time for unique gift ideas, gift lists, racking our brains to figure out what to get that person we never know what to give, and scooping up a few things for ourselves because that's perfectly okay, too.
The links here are affiliate links, which means if you choose to buy the product using my links, I'll get a tiny bonus at no cost to you. This helps support my artwork and my family, so thank you for using my links!
Here are the favorite things I want to share with you this month:
Is this not the cutest little mushroom print?! I bought this to keep my mini Laurel Denise planner, stickers, pens, and notes in. It could also hold an iPad, small laptop, or notebook. Your teens would dig this fun fall print, as well, all year round.
Fellow book-lovers, I overheard a conversation at my daughters' gymnastics class about how much a child loved reading the Wild Robot book series. The movie has been out, and my family hasn't yet seen it. So I thought it was perfect timing to start reading this with my kids. When Hallie and I finish the current series we're in the middle of (the Land Of Stories), we will give this a go and enjoy snuggling up to it on a cold day. Also, the book I have mentioned several times on social media, in my newsletters, during my ArtPrize interviews, and in person is this one here called The Anxious Generation. I consider it a must read for anyone who is around chilren and cell phones. It is literally changing the world right now through policy, awareness, and studies. Grab it even if you miss out on the coupon. If you aren't a reader, at least give the audio book a try. It is that important!
This one is for my generation, who probably won't ever get over the game we played in the computer lab on the Apple IIe we had to share with a classmate. If you want to re-live death by dysentery, fording the river with your oxen, and hunting along the way, then grab the Nintendo Switch version of the Oregon Trail. It's about time we share the love of this game with Gen Z. Maybe, just maybe, they'll even call it "Sigma."
For my fellow creatives, or as a great gift to the painters in your life, may I introduce you to this bar of soap that's meant to clean your paint brushes. I work in acrylic, oils, watercolor, and also sometimes use a brush to apply glue, varnish, etc. So a good, reliable cleaner is incredible useful! I had a tiny one of these to test out and feel good recommending the big one to those who could use it.
5. Warm Mittens For Small-Adult Hands (or kids)
My hands are small, and finding gloves or mittens that actually fit is a struggle! I usually have luck with children's sizes, and the cutest warm ones I have ever had that don't look like a toddler gave them to me are these from L.L. Bean! The size L fits me just right, though they also offer them in XS, S, and M. There are two other colors available online right now, too, if the yellow is not your jam.
That's all for today! If you end up purchasing any of these items, I'd love to hear what you think! You can reach out to me via email here. PS: If you want to get my favorite things and book lists sent right to your inbox, be sure you're on my Inner Circle e-mail list! You can subscribe to that here.
Until next time,
Erin
